Where we fit.
Where we don't.
Honest comparisons of AnimalShelterIQ against the platforms you've heard of. We'll tell you when they're the better choice. That's the deal.
Comparison is not a sales tactic.
The shelter management category has three or four entrenched players, each with real strengths. We didn't build AnimalShelterIQ to fight them on their best ground — we built it for the buyers they don't serve well: small-to-mid municipalities with licensing pain, and mid-sized humane societies tired of waiting for the AI era to arrive.
If you're a large adoption-marketing-focused private shelter, Shelterluv may suit you better. If you're a county with deep Pethealth/PetPoint integrations and no appetite for change, that's a fine answer. We will say so on a call. The comparisons below are written in that spirit.
vs Shelterluv

The honest read on moving over.
We've done this work. Here's what migration looks like when you decide to switch from a legacy platform.
Data import
CSV from any legacy system. Animals, licenses, license-holders, intake history, vaccination ledgers, donor records. We map fields with you; we don't ship a black box.
Staff training
Two 90-minute role-based sessions over Zoom — supervisors, officers, kennel staff. Recordings stay with you. The UI is intuitive enough that most staff are productive on day one.
Run in parallel
For 30–60 days you can run both systems in parallel. We help you cut over modules one at a time — licensing first, then field, then shelter operations.
Tell us who you're comparing.
We'll send a one-page comparison written for your specific environment — not a sales deck.
